Distance Learning Webinar
For nearly 77 million children and youth, COVID-19 has taken away their classrooms and access to in-person learning environments for the past 18 months (UNICEF). Families and educational systems are adapting to mitigate risk and respond to emerging needs. Distance learning has been implemented at an unprecedented scale, across all education cycles and diverse contexts. During this webinar, we will explore distance learning resources for distinct perspectives: crisis, higher education, and literacy.
The objective of this webinar is to build the capacity of USAID staff and partners to support education providers in their delivery of higher education and literacy in the context of COVID-19 disruption to education. This will be achieved by webinar participants being able to:
- Identify areas of connection of distance learning across higher education, crisis, and literacy instruction.
- Explain at least one tool available to support distance learning related to higher education, crisis, or literacy.
- Ask and respond to questions about the nature and applicability of distance learning methods for their context.
