INEE COVID-19 M&E Workshop
INEE is committed to supporting network members working in education in emergencies (EiE) settings impacted by COVID-19. In the second phase of the webinar series INEE will be holding more interactive, discussion-based sessions, to allow the EiE community to come together around key technical questions and challenges they are facing in the COVID-19 response.
As part of a framework for considering monitoring and evaluation in light of the constraints of EiE programming during COVID-19, you are invited to a virtual workshop to share practical examples and document workable solutions on measuring distance learning programs during the pandemic. Discussion topics will include:
- Reach: To what extent is distance learning reaching people? How do we measure access considering key equity indicators and demographics?
- Fidelity and formative data: How are beneficiaries engaging? What data do we need to improve distance learning interventions?
- Academic learning outcomes: What learning can we aspire to assess? What are the risks of remote learning assessments? What are the appropriate tools?
- Wellbeing outcomes: How can we measure wellbeing and social emotional learning? What are the appropriate tools?
Participants will be able to rotate through four topical breakout rooms with jamboards, notetakers, and expert facilitators, concluding with a plenary session in which participants will confirm findings. An expected output of this event is a concise technical guidance document to share widely with INEE members.
