Journeys
Series of three activity handbooks
The purpose of Journeys is to support the Uganda Ministry of Education and Sports' implementation of the National Strategy and Action Plan on Violence against Children in Schools. The Journeys program includes a series of three activity handbooks, produced under the Uganda Literacy Achievement and Retention Activity (LARA) supported by USAID:
- Journeys Activity Handbook for Teachers and School Staff
- Journeys Activity Handbook for Community Members
- Journeys Activity Handbook for Pupils
The Journeys Activity Handbook for Pupils encourages pupils to form clubs and carry out activities that build the five-essential social and emotional learning competencies related to the life skills in the thematic curriculum, namely self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.
