Report on the Evaluation Study of the Training for Development Program
This evaluation report assesses the impact of one training program on institutional and community development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Training for Development Program was developed by the Latin American Scholarship Program of American Universities (LASPAU) and sponsored by the Agency for International Development (AID) from 1978-1986. The aim of Training for Development, as stated by LASPAU and AID, was to support university-based development projects and other programs in higher education which addressed the basic needs of the rural populations they served.
